A2 Solid stock will not tighten down on AR15 lower

The A2 buttstock screw thread pattern did not match. I ordered an A4 screw and it fit, but bottoms out before the stock snugs up to the receiver. The play between the stock and receiver is about 1/8th of an inch.

A2 Solid stock will not tighten down on AR15 lower

I bought a Stag arms lower, DPMS lower kit and an A2 solid stock several years ago. finally got around to assembling the parts. Everything went well until I tried to tighten the Buttstock screw. It was the wrong thread pattern. I was told that I needed an A4 buttstock screw. the threads matched...

Which Lee 223 set is this?

So from the first picture: The middle die decaps and does a full length resize and the top most die sets the bullet? No need for the collet die if I'm doing full length. I was wondering why two of the dies had decapping pins...

Which Lee 223 set is this?

I bought this as a Lee Collet Rem 223 die set a while back and have never used it. It was sold to me as a used full case sizing set, but I now understand that Collet is neck sizing only. I know, but I heard the cases would last longer if lubed. What do you think?

    Which reloading manual to buy?

I started with Lee Modern Reloading too. I was thinking about picking up the Hornady Manual next. Now I'm thinking Lyman may be the way to go...

    Case lubing

I use a RCBS lub pad and Lee case sizing lube. It coats lightly when I spread on pad and rub into pad. I use a Lee hand press and carbide dies. Excess is wiped off after bullet is finished.

Unigue behind Hornady 240 grain XTP and SWC 44 Sp.

Thanks for the advice! I loaded the 44 specials as a home defense load. Additional special or mild loads will get SWC bullets. In the future the XTPs will go into magnum cases pushed with 2400. I have FXT's for my 44 mag lever gun.

How would the felt recoil compare to factory mag loads with same projectile?
