Using a 21" tube I only need 38 MOA of elevation to reach 1000 yards using factory 175's (Black Hills).

Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith who can thread the muzzle of an FAL carbine so a flash hider can be installed? I'd like to stay in the AL / TN / GA / MS area but am willing to ship the upper where I need to. All the local one's I contacted said they can't fit it onto their lathes. Thanks!

Can't speak for a specific change in ballistics, but the muzzle blast & fireball that comes out of the 16" is pretty intense.... Would imagine any tube shorter than that would be much more intense even with a quality muzzle brake or flash hider. Imho, and at the risk of getting flamed, while...

Is there a limit as to how many times you can apply a Duracoat finish to the same firearm? I imagine since the coating is all external it wouldn't matter so much, but does multiple applications degrade the durability of the finish itself? Also, what would be the best camo pattern for a PTR 91...

Ocabj I was looking at the ones in the Sinclair catalog. Seems like you've had some success with them. Looks like a good deal when you start pricing out tapered bases!

Has anyone ever used these to pick up some extra MOA? I know you can get tapered bases, but do these shims work without making the scope too wobbly?
