If we can do a 10mm in an auto why not a 357?

my neighbor has a desert eagle in .357 mag. it has no feeding issues. but, it is a very high end handgun. i have heard that the rimmed case is an issue in feeding. i have wondered why the .22 fire auto seldom have feeding issues.

Got my new press Monday, What's wrong?

i use a cookie sheet with waxed paper, for easier cleanup. i spray with one shot and shake the pan a bit and spray again. i then do something else for a few minutes to allow the one shot to dry. i spray all bottleneck cases and the larger pistol cases like .44 mag. and .45 acp. i use...

    Casting Boolits...

another hint.....buy a small, cheap fan to blow the fumes and smoke away from you. you can use the fan to blow on the melting pot, or set it so it will suck the smoke and fumes away from the pot.

Man sues city after police shoot, kill dog

back in the eighties there was a rash of similar incidents. it happened so often that NRA's wayne la pierre popped off, calling SWAT cops "jack booted thugs." if memory serves, he was referring to the SWAT boots and helmets that look very similar to the WWII era german helmets. wayne's...

Exactly how concerned should I be about lead?

i do worry about lead flying through the air at 800 fps and weighing 'bout 230 grains.;) seriously, i have been reloading and casting since '73. i have and do take logical precautions and i show no ill effects. seriously, i have been reloading and shooting since '73 and i show no ill...

If you were to make a pro-gun movie....

i would like to see a story about an amature pistol competetor, maybe IDPA. he also has a CCW. he is on the way to a match, travelling through hostile/lawless area, and he has to defend his family and himself. even though he is way outnumbered, his superior training and skills allows him to...

SWAT Standoff at McBrides gunstore in Austin

i agree, mcbrides is a great gunstore. they have a large inventory, so a quick question. are there there some sort of BATF laws that requires guns to be secured in some form or fashion. i was a kitchen tabletop gun dealer back in the '70s and i was supposed to keep inventory locked up...

    Anybody else not shooting enough?

i have the same problem. i have plenty of ammo, and my own range just behind the house. main issue is time. i work too much, and when i do get a day off, the wind is blowing like nuts. or, if the wind is not blowing, i need to mow (two acres), or work on the house or car or Blazer, or truck...

    Hi Point Pistols & Carbines

i have the 9MM carbine. great little gun. i bolted a cheapo red dot scope to it. it is quick, accurate, and loads of fun. it has never failed with quality ammo. it even likes my 125 gr cast reloads. i like to run 'drills' with say five different targets, two shots per target, timing...
