Where did all the bigbores go?

I got one, for those days when you just have to carry a wheelgun, a real handful to shoot at 23 ounces empty.

    Alliant Green Dot

Thanks for the input guys, Latest report follows:Loaded some with 2 different bullets a 225 grain lead trubncated cone and 200 grain LSWC with 5.0 grains of Green Dot. They worked fine in my SA's a Loaded Parkerized, a V-10 and a Micro Compact. No feed ot fire problems and the accuracy is great...

    Alliant Green Dot

Green Dot That is about what I expected, I was going to start around 4.8 and see how it went. I have used Green Dot for shotgun for years, because as you said it gives lower pressures and a push instead of a snap. You can really see the difference in 1-1/8 loads in a 12 gage or 7/8 in a 20...

    Alliant Green Dot

Any reccomendations for .45 ACP with 200 grain LSWC, do not want a low speed target load. More around 900 fps in that are, kind of like hard balls velocities.

    Shotshell reloading progressive ?

shotshell reloaders Ig I only shot one gage I would probably have a Dillon. I like to play with the toy guns (28 and .410) a lot, so having 4 loaders that just slide into the bracket of my loading bench makes it easy to switch gages. Also do not shoot as much as I used to since I passed 70, I...

.410 - what is it good for?

.410's Now your'e talking about my favorite shotgun gage, will hold its own on skeet with the 12 gage and has almost no recoil. The pattern may be smaller but is is very dense and you can really smoke targets with it. Just enough recoil so that you know you are shoooting a shotgun, too bad 28...

.410 - what is it good for?

.410 Now, that is the best answer I have seen yet. You got to use one to appreciate one. When you are on you are on and there is nothing like shooting sporting clays and beating the young guys with the big guns. How they going to brag about getting beat by an old man and a toy gun. :fire:

.410 - what is it good for?

.410's Some days you need a humbling experience, shoot a .410 on sporting clays and it will may grown men weep and bring them to their knees.:cuss: :cuss:

.44 spcl vs. .45 LC for self defense?

44Spes\cial vs. .45LC My persnal preference IMHO is the .44 S&W Special, just like thqt cartridge. Normally carry a SA Loaded Micro Compact but for those whhegun days a Taurus 445 Ultralite like this.

Ever had your choice of CCW "dissed"by others?

yes it is And it will run on most any ammo, is as accurate as my 5 inch SA loaded in combat situations and is a lot lighter. My American Express Gun , I never leave home without it. :p

Ever had your choice of CCW "dissed"by others?

what do I carry? SA Nicro Comapct with 7 round Wilson Combat 47OX mag with Core Bon power Ball +P's and and extra, that should pretty much solve any problems and if it don't they will have to deal with an ornery old man and his dog. :cuss:
