If they do 'em like they did the M1s, they'll go over them, replace parts as necessary, like they'll make 20 good guns out of parts from 25, then grade them for pricing. If it happens you'll know what you're getting.

I replaced the grip on mine with a Pachmayr, and if I'm shooting .357's I still need to grip the piss out of it so it doesn't bash my middle finger with the back of the trigger guard.

Thanks for the input. I got a Glock-specific pusher years ago and have used it on, well, all my Glocks. As I collect more pistols, most of which come with non-glowy sights, If I want to put them into an actual defense role, as opposed to collector role, then I'd like them to have night sights...

How about a revolver? I have a Ruger Single-Ten that's classy and accurate. If you want double-action, you probably won't be able to wear out the LCR in 22lr, and I think you can get either the SP101 or GP100 in 22lr as well. Smith & Wesson has a few classic 22lr revolvers as well.

Re: 5.7 stopping power: I hate to use this example, but the Five-Seven was used at the shooting at Ft Hood some years ago - 13 dead, so it's not an ineffective cartridge.

9mm shooters: CZ-75 - a joy and you'll likely never wear it out. Metal frame (mine is a BD model with a steel frame - very nice) CZ P-09/07 - cheaper, poly-framed and still pretty nice SIG P22x - Alloy framed, won't wear it out, super nice. I recommend the SAS versions with the short reset...
