I had several go off in a Lee Loadmaster years ago . Had the explosion shield on it . Other than scaring the crap out of me the only thing that broke was the primer tray lid .
Kept the lid as a reminder !
Thanks , I thought most like me would really like to see how the priming system works .
I do agree with everyone . He should have waited on the video till he had things setup correctly !
Really like mine . Fun shooting tin cans from off the porch .
I had a hard time at first loading it .
My old , fat fingers can load it pretty easy now .
I just wanted it as a toy . My friend had a Davis years ago and we couldn't hit crap .
Wanted to try again .
Called Bearman today . They answered quick and were very nice . Wanted me to send it in on their dime , I opted to get the parts . Going to try a Cam ,selector and new firing pins ...
Thanks I did watch that .
I didn't have that problem .
Video helped me take it apart .
I should have measured the firing pins .
On another site someone said it could be caused by a bad cam .
It's junk but kind of a mission now to get it to work.
Yeah I know they aren't quality derringers. Got one just for fun because I liked them from old westerns and to see if I could hit anything .
At first it fired okay not for long though . Now light primer strikes on the bottom barrel . Firing pin isn't protruding as much as the top barrel ...
