My new Ruger has never jammed with over 500 rounds. I tried to get it to jam with limp wrist, hollow points, flat nosed rounds and couldn't get her to hick up. Rugers got a a winner here and at a bargain price for all the goods you get.
I've had many 1911's over the years. I just picked up a new Ruger SR1911 for $620. Wow what a sweet piece. It's got it all and shoots 1 inch groups at 25 yards all day. Check one out!
OK, You guys are right I should take her out and fire it. Well I just got back from the range(any open field here in Montana) and fired 100 rounds of Wally 115 gr. Win. The gun cycled beautifully and I actually enjoyed the feel of the gun, recoil report and all in all this gun is a keeper as...
I read the OM it it said you can fire these by dry fire with a mag in place. That's what I did and when doing it it fired with each pull of the slide with the mag inserted enough to fire the next round. But in 8 out of 10 times the striker fire pin did not engage fully and just clicked which...
I agree with some that its kinda wierd to return a new gun as inoperative before even takin g it to the range. With this little guy though and my 40 some years of shooting experience I can positively see that there is something wrong. This morning I picked it up and it mostly cannot fully drop...
Yes I when I got her home I field stripped it and cleaned all the parts with Gun Scrubber. Then I lubed it all with CLP and started playing with it. At first the trigger was gritty and kinda rough feeling. As I continued to dry fire it I noticed that often it would not fully fire just click off...
Just picked up my new Ruger 9mm Compact. When dry firing it riding the sear while pulling the slide and simulating rapid fire the trigger and hammer only sometimes engage. Whenn I fire and jack the slide keeping trigger pressure on and then releasing to find the sear I refire and the hammer just...
These are the so called German guns I bought on GB. The first one is a Sig 229 that is smooth as silk with a wonderful trigger.
The second one is a P220 with a German marked slide and a perfect reciever but other than the seriel number there are no markings on the reciever. I'm almost...
Thanks for the info! But I'm still confused! My P229 has a made in Germany frame and the barrel has the same seriel number as the frame.
My German bought P220 has a German made slide and I've been told by experts the frame matches the slide.
Can one find info on Sigs series and seriel...
I am collecting some German Sigs. Mostly buying from GB and have been happy with most my buys.
My question is how does one know German Sigs Vs parts guns etc?
My first Sig was advertised as a German P229 Sig. It has a seriel numbered frame and a same numbered barrel. The frame has the...
The Glock is a great upgrade. For me the 9mm is a better round as they are more affordable for training purposes and in defensive situations adaquate. The 40 is costly but hard hitting and heavy as a 45 in the recoil area.
I think you made the right move just ammo costs will be heavier but...
