Shade00 - Thanks for the information, I was guessing early to mid 60's. This 12-2 I bought from a fellow at work whose wife no longer wanted it in the house. $275 for new in box. Even has the anti-rust paper and cleaning brush with it. It's a 2" roundbutt snubby and amazingly accurate...

    Name that song, tactical edition

He told her that he'd got it for the game, A "Winnie" 303 with his initials on the frame Riding in the scabbard at his knee. Tonight he's gonna see Who's getting all the stock. Seventh one this summer yesterday; Half a year of profits gone, and now there's hell to pay. The cops say they...

    buying weapons with credit cards

I don't buy until I have the funds to pay, but I will use a Visa platinum card for any major purchase due to the fact that it extends any manufacturers warranty by one year. Pay the bill when it comes in.

What do you use to remove those burn rings from the cylinder face?

I use Slip2000 Carbon Cutter. You can either hang the cylinder in the jar for a few minutes and rinse off (best method) or wet the surface with Carbon Cutter and wipe off a few minutes later. Works for me.

    How Old Were You...

About 9 or 10. My grandfather let me shoot his WesternField .22 single shot bolt action. From then on I was saving my pennies to buy 50 cent boxes of 22 longs. Never got over my love of that SMELL of gunpowder.

    Taurus M62: Rifle or Carbine?

I bought the rifle because I found it more aesthetically pleasing. The longer barrel balances the visually long, thin stock.

    You lucky people in Colorado.

You're right about the population explosion here. I passed through Fort Collins on vacation in 1972. Went home, called the movers, and headed back. I think I was one of the 'early' ones to move here. Since about 1980 the population has doubled. Now I want to go somwhere smaller. (You think...

I never realized just how much crap I lugged around....

Cslinger, What type of holster does your P7 snuggle into? How does it ride? It looks like a fairly basic OWB style. I've been looking for a OWB crossdraw for my P7M8 that will handle its butt-heavy balance. Thanks in advance.

    How old are you?

    60. Another old fart working on becoming a curmudgeon. I remember Noah saying, "I want the first pair, the rest are yours". :D
