Hands down, the best deal you can find is a used Ruger P95; high quality, tuff as nails, very dependable shooter. They go for about $225 at gun shows or gun shops. The next step would be a SR9 for about $400. Yeah ok, I like Rugers. :)

Mud, instead of MoS get a can of Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease, it makes it feel like the insides are running on ball barrings. I use it in my revolvers too. :)

I would recommend Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease, I've tried it on my autos and was quite happy with the actions. I tried it on my 3 S&Ws, a 396ng a M19 and a 360 M&P, I couldn't believe the difference in the actions, it's as if all the parts were moving on ball barrings, it eliminated ALL friction...
