I have learned you have to go into a GS knowing who you are probably going to be dealing with: ADD leaning, opinionated after the glaze comes off the eyes, semi-knowledgeable if you get a good one (slim chance), likely irked with you for no discernible reason. Might have something in their...
I was in the midst of loading up some 9mm on my Hornady LnL when the hopper fell off my powder measure. Man, I had it half full of Universal when it spun off. Powder of course went everywhere and I have to admit I said several bad words, some of them several times.
Never had this happen with...
I shoot and reload 4 handgun calibers. Once upon a time I shot primarily .40 and believed it a good self defense round. Over time I found that shooting for recreation and the abrupt recoil of .40 did not mix that well. I sold of couple of .40 guns and augmented my 9's and .45's. Just way more...
I love my 226 and Sig 1911. I would strongly recommend drifting out the pin for the extractor when detail stripping. Take it all the way down as you will be amazed how much carbon gets into the extractor channel.
I discovered the exact same thing in my CZ 75B in .40, and had the same concerns as you. It was a departure from my other semi-autos and it took me awhile to disregard. But trust your OAL when you drop your cartridge in and give it a turn to verify it is chambering correctly.
I was at my local range today and a group of French tourists was having a go a couple of lanes over. They were having a great time shooting the range rentals, 9mm semis.
So I was trying out some new loads in my .357 magnum, warmish 158 SWC's on top of H-110, and they were zapping right in where...
I can offer that my RCBS uniflow with a micrometer is tough to beat. I load varieties of pistol caliber and have found the RCBS has a lot more capacity in the small rotor than my Hornady, which means that when I get into magnum loads if I use the Hornady I have to swap out rotors. My experience...
As a new owner of a Hornady progressive I can attest to the truth of your statements. After relying on the forbearance of the reloading deities for a long time to keep my cases sorted I did not give my brass too much of an inspection after tumbling. Of course this is when I primed off the press...
I experienced the same thing, I cracked both of the brackets that came with my press. Hornady sent replacements right away and I noted they are heftier than the two that came with my press. Working great now. I also recognized that the originals cracked for a reason- as others have stated ensure...
My perception of the fan-boy is an impressionable sort new to guns, they looked at a whole bunch of internet information and identified with Glock's marketing, bought a G-19, shot it irregularly and not well. Now they feel they know it all and all other options are hopelessly outdone by Glock...
