Most painful was 50 quick consecutive rounds of .44 mag through my Rugar Redhawk. I couldn't feel my right hand for an hour. Not gonna' do that again.
I've shot a custom .45-70 revolver, but it weighed over 5 lbs. and a S&W 500 with a compensator. Neither of those was unmanageable or painful...
rellascout (and the Hickok 45 video) answers the question perfectly.
It's almost always the Indian, not the arrow. Even when you take combat accuracy out of the equation and talk only about target accuracy almost all production guns can outshoot you. For under $1000 you have dozens of...
rellascout,
You need to relax and read posts more carefully. The information provided wasn't about Bruce Gray's production of extractors. Who cares? It was about the original extractor saga. A point of information if you will. And your claim about equally frequent across-the-line problems is...
Easy there buddy. . . .:D First, the OP said his first pistol shot to the right. Didn't say anything about extractor issues. That was a problem most often seen on the early stainless (P220ST) models. A little research will show that almost all the internal extractor problems, aside from the...
On a P220, I would bet that any reliability problems would be attributable to one of two things: improper lubrication or weak magazine spring.
Left/right impact deviation is the easiest thing to correct. FWIW, I not only drift my SIG sights to zero them (get or borrow a SIG sight tool) but i...
I own some of each. Stamped slide, milled slide, W. German, German, half and half, American made. My personal experience has been that they all shoot great and are reliable. I tend to think that SIG's new management push for a zillion models may have had an effect on QC but my main gripe with...
Most of my SIGs have reasonably tight slide-to-frame fits. My P226 Navy being the loosest. It is also very accurate. Try some TW25B or, better yet, Slide Glide and it will dampen the rattle. They're both fine lubricants.
My Sigs all have lock washers. Funny though, Sig sells parts kits that come with 4 grip screws and no washers. Go figure. I've used Loctite (blue) to secure grip screws, but you've found some lock washers. Go for it. That Equinox is a nice pistola.

Glad you like my 7-15-25 yd target. Thanks.
The three targets were measured to look the same size at the three distances. At least that was the theory. I converted one into PDF format. It should print out correctly on regular 8.5 X 11 paper with the grid squares measuring exactly .5...
Springer Mil Specs have been very accurate for me OOTB. Fit and finish have all been excellent. I can't shoot 1" offhand groups at 25 yards with any of my pistols, including my Les Baer. But all my Mil Specs (3) will put 5 shots into around 1.5" at that distance when I am having a good day. I...
I have both a Glock G19 and a SIG P239 in 9mm. Both are excellent weapons and you won't go wrong with either. I don't conceal carry so I can't give an opinion there. The P239 is softer shooting and a bit more accurate in my hands. If capacity is an issue, go with the Glock. But the magazines for...
