You might want to Google Tim Farmer, host of the television show Kentucky Afield. He is an avid sportsman who has the use of just one arm. He shoots a bow with his teeth, fishes with one hand, and uses a shotgun and rifle as well as most two-armed men. He has little tricks, such as a fishing...
I'm not a reloader, but am hoping to get a head start on choices of loads for bench rest out to 300 yds and whitetail hunting. Ideally i'm looking for one load that will do both well enough. Thanks.
Looking for youth rifles for my 8 & 9 year-olds to deer hunt with. They've been shooting .22 for a couple of years now and my older one is ready to go along with me on next year's youth hunt.
Looking for .243 or something not much bigger.
I have seen the Remington 700 ADL Youth...
Why not just get the 700 from 2009? It is "factory" and in the time-tested 700 line. I'll bet you can find one NIB either on gunbroker, or maybe ask a LGS to call around for you.
I have one that I wouldn't part with. :D I think it would fit all of your listed needs. You are right that...
Local gun store says Guerini will actually e-mail you photos of the model you want to buy as they come out of production. Evidently you can pick through the photos until you find the model you want with a wood grain that suits you. That sure sounds like service!
Besides mid-grade Brownings and Berettas, is there any other manufacturer that compares to Guerini around this 3000 to 3750 price point? Any others I ought to be trying to check out?
Anyone familiar with Caesar Guerini shotguns? How do they compare to Beretta or Browning O/U's? They seem to run a bit more, price-wise, and I'm sort of wondering if the additional cost is justified by quality, reliability, etc.
Thanks in advance.
I've read several folks observing that the Model 70's rebirth under Browning's manufacturing has set a new standard for over-the-counter turnbolts. True? Not True? Thoughts? I've generally been a 700 guy, but am thinking about a shift.
I've watched a bullet comparison promo video on Federal's web site and was super impressed with the Barnes performance. I just hear everyone rave about the Hornady Custom rounds and was hoping for the best of both.
