If you move out of California, is there a way to un-register your guns? Even though the federal government doesn't keep records (or at least isn't supposed to), I know the state and city/county does.

It seems that the questions they ask verbally roughly match the questions answered on paper. So I'm wondering why they even ask the verbal questions, and why the differences in wording.

I've noticed that in addition to the "have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective or been committed to a mental institution" question that is on a registration form, there's also the verbal question (at least in California) of "have you ever been a patient in a mental institution?"...

I figure it's good to have at least 2 (or 3) firearms for any caliber ammo you stock. That way, if one breaks the ammo won't go to waste.
