For those who think smokeless is safe in blackpowder firearms:

Here's a heated discussion on the subject...
I shot about 100 rds. through a buddy's FNS 9mm back in 2013. I loved the ergos, but the trigger was a tad squishy, not XD 'Sponge Bob', but squishy. That was my only complaint.
I also do not know how easy they are to totally disassemble as well as how well they hold up in the long run...
My rule of thumb for years has been to put six full house 125 gr. .357 Magnums at 15 yds. into a 5" circle at 15 yds. DAO in six seconds or less. Once you can do this repeatedly under all conditions the rest is downhill.
Perhaps you did not know, but you can special order Ahrend's grips w/o finger grooves. Fortunately for me, Ahrend's grips fit my hand like a tailor made glove:
BTF is caused by limpwristing. Period. I have shot dozens of Glocks whereas the owner was whining about BTF and they worked perfectly for me. Grip it like a man and not a teacup.
Here's a thread where a fella chronos some old (late 70's early 80's) Win. X38SPD (.38 Spcl. +p 158 gr. LSWCHP). He got 843 fps in a 2" barrel:

1911Tuner, you of all people should know that there are tons of IPSC shooters who load the 9mm & .38 Super to the nth degree to make Major. This is nothing new. Sure, on a 1911 it beats the frame to death just as it would if I put a hemi in a 1911 Stutz Bearcat. I have seen several people blow...
Since it is common for many to wonder what exactly are their rights re illegal detention I think this vid by a former Federal Judge and TV celebrity bears watching on the recent events in Aurora, CO as I cannot help but wonder what the police would have thought if someone they detained had a...
I've shot some of the Underwood 9mm 124 gr. +p+ using the Gold Dot bullet. VERY accurate and same recoil impulse as with the factory Speer 124 gr. +p.
I understand some people's concern about this. However, many state & Federal agencies used +p+ for years. The Secret Service even issued...
One has to PRACTICE with a small CCW and I don't mean just slow firing Wally World blasting ammo. Do some CCW drills at 3 yds. and work on trigger control. It will come. Most people I see with these guns at a range are trying to shoot them slow fire like a Bullseye 1911 and you cannot do it that...
How about a polymer 9mm with the same, if not better ergos of the P30, and is striker fired like a Glock but has a less than 5 lbs. FACTORY trigger? Interested? Oh yeah, they cost about the same as a Glock.
It's the new Walther PPQ which is phenomenal!! ;)
It is beyond me why anyone in their right mind would want a safety on a pocket 9mm which this new SIG will have like the 238. These are "point & pull" guns and not range guns. The SIG p290 had some "birthing" pains with the light strikes but SIG fixed mine & it has been 100% since and...
