cz75 compact and kadet .22 conversion?

I hate to keep going on about this, but I gotta ask: jlbraun says "I have a P01 and the Kadet fits fine. The magazine hangs out the bottom though." I'm used to semiautos that the clips latch in at the bottom. What keeps the .22 clip from falling out of a CZ75 Compact?

cz75 compact and kadet .22 conversion?

I'm getting interested in buying a cz75 compact pistol. But I would maybe later want a .22 conversion for it. The cz site says the .22 cadet conversion fits 'all 75 models', but I'd like to be reassured by hearing from someone who has a cz75 compact and has done the .22 conversion succesfully...

    model 41 questions

Standing Wolf, Thanks for the refreshing cold water re the model 41. One can get a little brainwashed listening to the converted. The Ruger's grip angle doesn't suit me, my main reason for upgrading, I learned to shoot age 18 on a K22 revolver and old dog doesn't like to learn new tricks, I...

    model 41 questions

I'm REALLY glad I started this thread! This is exactly the kind of feedback I hoped to get. Khornet, here's what the M41 .pdf owner's manual I downloaded says: "TRIGGER STOP ADJUSTMENT This procedure allows you to adjust trigger over-travel. • Pull down on the trigger guard. • Insert a...

    model 41 questions

Getting a bit off-topic from my question, but I jazzed up my Mark II as you describe: 2 sets of rubber grips - gun wouldn't point straight. Herrett National Target grips were MUCH better. I use the regular Ruger grip on the left (I guess cause I got used to it). Volquartsen extractor - though...

    model 41 questions

I found the adjustment you speak of on page 24 of the pdf I downloaded. On a Ruger it's called the 'after-travel' screw. I can't seem to make much difference with it: when it's too far out the gun won't fire, when it's 'just right' I can't detect that it's any better than another 1/4 turn in...

    model 41 questions

I have a yen for an S&W Model 41 . Probably new, but used, should I find one locally I can shoot first. I now shoot a Ruger Mark II - KMK678GC. I have searched this forum for '41' and read a lot of posts. None of them seem to talk about trigger pull and trigger creep. Surely someone is measuring...

    S&W K22 - sticky extraction

Headspace. I can pass a .008" feeler thru the gap between cylinder and barrel on my model 66 stainless, that ejects fine. Of course a .357 is a stronger case, I suppose. The K22 takes a .005" but not a .006". Of course I'm not real sure that this is what head space is. I haven't examined the...

    S&W K22 - sticky extraction

Oh, BTW, the picture you show is not a .22 revolver. I am under the impression that a K22 is a .22 rimfire built on a K frame. Am I wrong? Would your polishing technique work as well on a .22 cylinder?

    S&W K22 - sticky extraction

Thanks for all the replies. Dry firing (with an empty .22 shell in the chambers) is practice for me, not to smooth the action of the gun. I've done it for the life of the gun, and never had any problem with it till recent years. For that reason I theorized that wearing thru a case-hardened...

    S&W K22 - sticky extraction

I bought my K22 new about 1953. Recently it started giving hard ejection. Suggestions included a good cleaning of the cylinder with a brass brush. Didn't help. On close inspection, you could see a very slight bulge in the fired case close to the rim. A couple of chambers were worse than the...

    An experiment with spectacles

prescription got just strong enough I've been wearing spectacles about 30 years - age 70 now. I am far sighted (at age 40 just needed reading glasses). Now I have to wear bifocals. I have mild astigmatism but training glasses when I was young enabled me to stop using them and go completely...

    Champion Choice Spotting Scope

I'm looking for a medium quality spotting scope for targets, 50' to 100 yards to view .22 holes. I wear eyeglasses. Champion Choice catalog has a model CC645 22x60mm 45degrees for $230. http://www.champchoice.com/shop.php?code=CCSCOP but that may not get you there, you may have to start at...

    accidental discharge Model 70

Yesterday I was at the range with a friend of mine who had a Winchester Model 70 in .243. He had an accidental discharge when, he said, he pushed the safety to the 'fire' position. Seems to me I've heard of some problem like this, somewhere, but I thought it was on a Remington model, memory is...
