The ones I have seen are $$s off of an order of some high dollar amount, like $150 or $200. I've also seen christmas and new years discounts and I think I have gotten them on my birthday also. Never used any of them as I've never had the money to place an order when the code was good...

No, not typical at all. I've only heard of C&R app. folks getting a visit from ATF if they are in NY. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard of someone in DC applying before. Good for you!
