Bad News for Deer Hunters: CWD in 2 Men

Kinda the point many have been trying to make for years......yet so many don't want to hear it. This is serious, while many just blow it off. The idea that muscle tissue will infect just as easily as CNS tissue is disturbing, but even more disturbing from what I got from your link, is the fact...

    Finally in the club!

Good for you. Curious as to why the process to join is so difficult, other than having to wait for a member to die for an opening. Over the years, I have been a member of several "Sportsmen" clubs that provided me with access to shooting ranges. All required a yearly fee and X amount of...

    Gun Security App

I agree, there definitely is a problem, and I also have to agree about whether or not an App is the answer. Hard for me to understand, how anyone would forget their gun in a bathroom, kinda like forgetting your kid in the backseat of the car. Maybe a small lanyard with a retractable cable that...

NOE Cast Bullets in Henry .44 Mag Rifles

.....just got a response back from Henry. Here it is, straight from the Horse's mouth.

NOE Cast Bullets in Henry .44 Mag Rifles

For what it is worth, I have contacted Henry and asked what their bore/groove dimensions are in their .44 mag rifles. Only reply I have gotten back so far, says it may take a day or so for a response because of high demand. I do not understand the reasoning behind the whole difference in .44...

Is everyone still loving their Ruger Wranglers?

I bought one last year for my grandkids to use, thinking it would be a fun alternative to just shooting .22 rifle. It was the first time. Since then, it has pretty much sat, even when taken along to the range to shoot. The kids are much more accurate using the long gun and they get more fun and...

How Much Land to Shoot On?

Pretty much what I was trying to impress upon folks with my first post. Yet, phrase's like " lots of vacant land" and "neighbor has X amount of empty acres behind me and doesn't care if I shoot" continue. If you do not own it and thus, have no control over it, you should not allow a bullet to...

    Another bite at the apple?

Nope. Ain't hardly ever sold a gun unless it proved to not be reliable(and informed of this to buyer) or I just did not like it period. No reason to go down either of those roads again.

Open Carry in a Traffic Stop

^^^Truth. How anyone act/handles themselves at a traffic stop, is up to them. For the most part, while folks may act/respond differently, those actions are not wrong. Just different. Folks need to do what makes them comfortable and get their High Horse about what others do. What folks do need...

Bad News for Deer Hunters: CWD in 2 Men

Since from what I have read, the monkeys were fed both muscle and brain tissue, I too believe it was the CNS tissue that was the culprit. same reason most DNR/F&G agencies recommend not eating anything from the CNS, to avoid shooting animals in the CNS, to not eat meat surrounding any damaged...

    Powder opinions

No, as far as I know, it's correct and is the big reason so many folks jumped on the Lil' Gun bandwagon years back believing it would be easier on their revolvers as compared to other magnum powders like H110/W296. Once the stories of excessive premature forcing cone erosion and extremely hot...

    Chamfering vs flaring/crimping for 9mm?

I see two unrelated issues here. In the first, yes a flaring die will make seating the bullet easier. It will not fix the improper neck tension that allows the bullet to move when pushed......nor will the FCD. If you are finding you are getting both, then you may have a problem with bullet size...

    Well.........good for them.

    Powder opinions

As with any PC carbine, you are loading the cartridge, not the gun. Any published load for a revolver will be the same in a carbine.

    H110 and mag.spp

.......just as important as a heavy crimp when using standard primers with H110/W296 in .357, is to be at the top of the charge rate.
