I have a Connecticut Valley Arms kit replica of a Colt 1862 pocket navy with a brass frame. This is a unfinished kit with all parts I think. When the hammer is drawn back the cylinder will not rotate and the hammer will stop with abought 3/8 in of travel. The cylinder can be rotated by hand with...
My great uncle gave me his Springfield 45/70 (trap door) that he caried in Cuba with the Iowa National Guard when I was 10yers old. I have taken several deer, elk, one American Bison with it and still shoot it. Black powder only. I also have his Colt army 45. They will go to my grandson.
Not only in selling, trading, or dealing with firearms but with all dealings with others in life the advice of treating others the way you want to be treated should be our guiding example. If this is done what is the question? It is the right thing to do.
In the farm house I grew up in hung a 45/70 Government over the back door with a canvas surplus ammo belt. It was used to discourage critters that wanted to eat our livestock. The other firearms were in a glass cabinet in the Livingroom. When I was in Highschool, my pickup and most others in the...

In 1958 my mothers uncle Bob gave me his Springfield Armory 45/70 that he was issued by the Iowa National Guard and he had used in Cuba. Took my first Iowa white tale with it that year. Still have and shoot the rifle. Will pass it to one of my grandsons, three of them have taken deer with it...
Harbor Freight has a hole punch set that will work for most wad sizes. Nine peace chrome plated set from 3/3, and 52 to 1/2 in. I use these for .36 .44 - .45 and .50. Very good for paper or felt and inexpensive.
Part of my gun safety training to my kids and grand kids is that my guns are not talked abought to anyone outside of family.
Storage is in the safe, under the floor boards by the gas pipe, on me or in grandma,s purse.
Traceability to me through this or any other form is possible but difficult...
Remington model 14 pump has a twisted mag tub that allows the use of pointed bullets and primers from making contact, I don't know about any lever actions.
First hand gun was a 45. Colt SSA that my Mother's Uncle gave me. He was issued it when he served in the Iowa National Guard. Gave it to me when I was fourteen. I still have it and used it as a night stand gun until I purchased a Smith & Weston mod. 36 in 1965.
