An AR is really just another AR. The barrel is what really matters and there are countless high quality barrel manufacturers out there. I have an absolutely beautiful CMT billet upper and lower with a WC 300 BLK barrel that is amazing. But it doesn’t shoot any better or more reliably (both...
There isn't much that smells as good as 30mm gun gas piped back into the cockpit as it enters the engine bleed air system! 20,000 rounds later and it never got old. Ah, the good old days. An absolutely amazing weapons system.
I'm testing MBC 165gr lead bullets and at less than 20 cents a round, the 300 BLK is a lot of fun. I have tested them with 12.0gr 300MP at 1450fps up to 13.0gr at 1650fps. No leading at all.
I use RCBS AR dies and have found a taper crimp is necessary or once in a while the bullet will get...
I have a 300BLK Wilson Combat 16" and it's very accurate. I did have to drill the gas port out to .125" to get it to cycle with all my ammo. I'm shooting 165gr lead at 1450fps with 300MP and it cycles 100%. Highly recommend the WC barrel.
300 Win Mag if you reload. I've shot over a thousand rounds with everything from 110 Speer spire points at Montana prairie dogs to 200 grain Nosler Accubonds. Even some 165gr Missouri Bullet Company lead bullets designed for the 30-30. All shoot well. The lead bullets are quiet and kick like...
I really have a problem with a gun that doesn't let me pull the trigger when I want to. I won't carry a handgun that has a manual safety or a magazine disconnect. Fortunately, the LC9 can be "fixed" to be an effective carry weapon. And put in the Galloway Precision modified trigger bar and...
Mine has about 1200 rounds now and works great. There is a good thread on XDTalk that describes the problem and how to prevent it. I can duplicate it every time if I try by closing the slide without the grip safety depressed but it is an unnatural feel and I have to try to do it. Bottom line...
Do you give the cases a few minutes for the lube to dry?
Do you shake the can hard for at least two minutes before use?
I've loaded a couple thousand cases with it and never had a problem. Everything from .223 to 300RUM, including 30-06.
If you can detail strip the LC9 (youtube) then the long trigger can be greatly improved, while still being a safe CCW, by sending the hammer and trigger bar to Galloway Precision for a little work. I have two pistols that have their work done and it's night and day. I also strongly dislike a...
