Ammoseek.com shows:
9.3x62 with 75 options
375 Ruger with 160 options
375 H&H with 395 options
All are roughly the same price with hunting ammo loads. Though the H&H can be bought with FMJ from PPU which is a little cheaper.
Another option is the Tippman m4-22. I bought one as a trainer for my daughter and I and it's a true 1 to 1 for a regular AR. Mine had been fully reliable and pretty accurate. I only use a red dot and haven't benched it yet, but it's hit everything I've shot at with it out to at least 200 yards.
One other thing Id have him look into are actual 300 Blk magazines. It does work well in regular 5.56 magazines but the bullet stack in the mag is less than ideal. For something used for home defense, get a couple of the actual 300 mags. For range use the regular 5.56 mags should run fine.
That's a brace. There is a strap that attaches to the back part.
Sig released new mags that are a little cheaper. You can actually buy them from the company that Sig contracts for about 30 bucks.
A while back I saw some videos on Youtube and read some discussions about the civilian PDW. This theory differs from the military PDW as I dont need it to necessarily penetrate body armor and it needs to be more concealable that a military PDW such as a P90. The main theory being that you could...
The bore looks great. I shot it yesterday and it shoots great. Still very accurate. It is still very reliable.
It is going to have to go back to a smith though. My dad had a very light trigger put in. Not only is it too light for my liking, but the hammer is slipping the sear sometimes when...
I have the full size 8.9 inch barrel version of the MP5. Mine is a MKE back when they were sold by Zenith. Century Arms now imported them under their AP5 name. Great gun.
I actually bought a Sig this weekend. PSA had a Daily Deal on the Sig MPX 9mm subgun. It was more than I really wanted to spend but it was a good deal and fits my want for a smaller (than my MP5) PDW type weapon. So I bought it. The 1911 just brought the price down to what I wanted to spend in...
Well guys............ I sold it. Was offered a reasonable price for it.
PS. Was back at the shop greatest to use the range. The Sig and the Keltec were gone.
From my experience investigating shootings with 22lr I would be looking at the newer offerings that are actually jacketed or use a hardened bullet.
Ive seen several cases where the 22lr bullet simply shattered as soon as it encountered bone and in a couple cases even failed to break the bone...
