Darn you guys! I haven't shot a Browning HiPower before - which likely means once I do, I'll want one based on the high acclaim its garnering here in this poll. :uhoh:

Looks like there are several auctions where the price is around $25-$30 per mag - that doesn't seem way out of line?
Definitely watch a couple videos on YouTube - there are some excellent "how to" videos concerning removing cosmoline.
I used Purple Power or some other no-name type grease cutter in a disposable tin pan and took the rifle apart into all its component parts. I used a hand held steamer to...
I voted "yes".
To clarify, I don't rely on a 9mm carbine as my first home defense option, but I'd be comfortable using one for such a purpose.
I've shot a 9mm carbine (Ruger PC9) many times on the range - and really enjoy it.
Yep, I picked up 100 rounds of 22 mag at a LGS on a whim - wasn't really there to buy ammo, but rather to just look around. After the fact I realized I should have bought more.
Actually, I personally still enjoy receiving the paper catalogs in the mail. I guess I'm just old school. Though I do a lot of buying on the internet, I still enjoy looking at paper catalogs too.
Don't get me wrong, I'd never purchase from CTD again. Their prices are crazy. But, that...
I recently added a Blackhawk in 30 Carbine - and love it. It's my first Blackhawk, but I'm think it will have some friends in a different caliber soon!
Not something I see picking up myself either, but I applaud Heizer for trying something different. Where else do you get innovation, etc. - but to try new things - right?
Agreed - the MiniMags are safe in everything I have - and I have some older 22 pistols. I echo the comment that if I had to use a 22 in a defense situation - I would definitely select the MiniMags - most reliable rimfire I've ever used.
A couple old Iver Johnson pistols I obtained over the years. They aren't worthless, but there's nothing special about them either. Still, I don't typically sell firearms.
Only concerns I have is functionality. While I can check the basics, I'm not an expert gunsmith, so there's a chance I'd buy and overlook an issue. So I have a local gunsmith check things over before firing.
As for the sanitary issues, like others have said, need to get over that in a hurry.
Right or wrong, I'm not sure, but I use Ballistol lightly on my knives and I've been happy with their appearance. It's non-toxic, so it shouldn't impair what the knife ends up touching (meat, otherwise).
