    Are you "brand loyal"?

I was referring more to reloading gear and components. I think we all own a mixed bag of firearms! :)

What do you do if you run out of LPP?

Several suppliers have LPP in stock now. You just have to be willing to pay the price and the hazmat fees. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900619596?pid=619596

What have you done in the reloading room today

"As The Bullet Spins"...next chapter! So, the saga continues. Those pesky .44-40 cases I primed last night were just begging to be loaded, so I obliged. I figured I could use the Lee bullet feeder, as instructions said will work with cast, plated, FMJ and HP bullets. And .427 cast bullets are...

More reliable Remington or colt cast your vote n tell why

You would think...but the barrel is set back to fill the gap.

    Light 45 Colt loads

You can back Unique down to some fairly mild loads. A lighter bullet will lessen recoil as well.

As far as cappers go...they are useless on a Remmy. Especially straight line cappers. I cap at the line using fingers and seat with a short length of dowel rod. Fouling; it helps a lot if you lube the pin with Lubriplate AA630. And even more if you pop the cylinder every 24 shots, give things a...

    Powder prices

I recently paid $68.00 a pound for 2# of Re22. Plus haz and shipping. Nuts? Yes. But after waiting for over 5 years, I figured what the heck. It was gone 4 hours later.

    Powder prices

I say get used to it. It's the "new normal". Get used to paying a $25.00 hazmat plus shipping as well, because most of the local stores don't have what you want or need. Put items on your "notify me" list and be ready to pounce with the Plastic Fantastic when they do because they'll be sold out...

    three questions

I prefer a lubed felt wad over powder rather than a blob of anything. My Walker seems to prefer 45-50gr of 3F or equivalent. 60gr makes a nice muzzle flash because the power is burning as it flies out the muzzle...a waste of good powder IMHO. I agree with previous posts about patches. If the...

What have you done in the reloading room today

I found after a few hundred cases that my wrist would ache for a day or two. Typical carpal tunnel 'warning sign'. The hundred bucks or so I spent on the power tool were well worth it IMHO

What have you done in the reloading room today

I would highly recommend getting a powered case prep tool like the RCBS or equivalent. Saves lots of time but more importantly, saves your wrists. As usual, I didn't think I needed one...until I bought it. Also allows you to clean and true up primer pockets, de-burr flash holes and other case...
