Hi there, I have owned, carried and shot both. My personal choice is the Springfield GI Champion .45 1911 with the 4" barrel. They make a LW version. The bull/bushingless barrel on both the steel and LW version reduce muzzle flip and aid greatly in practical accuracy. Chris

Hi there Snowdog, The short answer is yes it can and if this run of ammunition was taper crimped properly at the factory it would lessen the likelyhood of feeding problems since the .45 auto round headspaces on the rim of the cartridge. Chris
