I saw one at the gun show in Houston yesterday. I think AJC had it, though I don't know whether it came from the new store.
I went to the show intending to buy one. Browning says that it is 85% of a 1911. It was smaller than I expected and smaller than I wanted. Purchased one of the...
I had a 5 stoppages in the first 375 rounds with my 9mm P2000. The recommendation from the HKPro forum was to try some hotter ammunition. I fired 200 rounds of Federal M882. It has worked with everything else since - 4400 rounds with no stoppages.
Heeler,
Thanks for the tip. I went to Carter's and the prices are close to what I've seen online. However, I have another question. My slab is post-tension. According to what I've read, it is not advisable to drill into these unless you know where the cables are. Is your slab post-tension? If...
I have some HKs: P2000, USP 9, USP 45, P7M8.
Quality: Excellent - Take a look at Todd Green's test of the HK45.
Value: HKs are not exactly a best buy.
Service: I've dealt with HK service. I found it satisfactory, i.e., not as good as Smith & Wesson, but acceptable. One thing to keep in...
I need a new gun safe. I've narrowed it down to two: AMSEC BF or Sturdy.
I'd prefer to purchase it from a local dealer, but that isn't possible with Sturdy, and a local AMSEC dealer wants $1200 more for the same safe than the prices I've seen online.
Has anyone in Houston bought a safe...
I have a TA11F on my AR. It is a good scope. It is clear and rugged. However, I just plink with my AR (50 to 200 yards). Consequently, if I were to do it over again, I'd go with a low-powered variable. If you want to save some money, take a look at the Nikon Monarch or the Weaver 30mm Super Slam.
Be careful. Do a search on Botach. It does not have the best reputation. Some posters have had no problems. Others have had nightmares. If Botach has not been discussed here, I believe that it has been discussed extensively at GlockTalk.

I bought a 229 in .22LR. Mine is fussy. It runs fine on CCI Mini-Mags. I have had stovepipes and failures to feed with other ammunition. On the other hand, some owners report that their kits run fine with .22LR bulk packs.
This is surprising. I just checked CZ's web site and the Kadet is $689 MSRP and the 75B is $615. I paid $300 for a new Kadet (the dealer made a goog buy) in 12/05. As I remember, the MSRP for a Kadet was less the $500 when I bought mine. Maybe the increased interest in 22s has pushed up the price.
I've been going to gun shows in Houston for about ten years, mostly at George R. Brown. They're always about the same. Occassionally you will see a new dealer. The HCGA gun shows are usually larger, but not as large as they used to be. I bought a Sig 522 at the one yesterday.
