Very early in my gun buying days (I'm a late bloomer -- didn't buy my first handgun until I was 50), I checked out a Beretta 3032 at the LGS. I liked it a lot but didn't end up getting one. Fast forward to the present: Having just received an unexpected bonus from work, I decided to splurge on a...
Hello. I received a set of KSD rosewood grips for my CZ 83 for Christmas and just got around to installing them. The safety notches needed to be thinned with a file to allow the safety to go into the "off" position, but otherwise the fit is pretty good. I like the look, and they feel...
My dad wasn't a hunter, and though I had shot BB and pellet guns at an early age, he tried to start me on cartridge guns with a .30-30 before I was ready -- wound up gun shy as a result for many years. My college roommate got me into hunting, but I didn't get my first deer until I was 32. Kids...
Hello, all. I received a set of replacement wooden grips from KSD for my CZ 83. The screws on the pistol's stock plastic grips do not include o-rings. Question is, should o-rings be used for the wood grips? If so, where is a good place to purchase them?
I got skunked this year, too -- didn't see a single deer, buck or doe, that I could actually take a shot at. Including the two that I very briefly glimpsed this year, the grand total of bucks I have seen during five seasons of hunting on a private patch in South Carolina now stands at four. I...
Nope.
Probably should've explained in my first post, but the reason I put "heirloom" in quotes is because the firearm will be purchased out of my inheritance funds. It doesn't have to necessarily be heirloom quality.
There's a gun show near me this weekend, so I might take a crack at option #4.
RRs can be bought as .22/.22 WMR combos, but the magnum cylinder can also be purchased separately. I have the combo with 4.75" barrel and birdhead grip -- nothing but good things to say about it.
Henry does not as yet offer the side-loading (as opposed to ejecting) Big Boy in .357. I agree the Win 92 is an excellent rifle, and if I were to find one at a show I'd be hard-pressed not to snap it up.
When my mother passed away in 2014, I used a small part of my inheritance to purchase my dream hunting rifle (the CZ 550 FS seen in my avatar). I think of it as "mom's gun," and it reminds me of her whenever I take it out in the field. My father passed away last year, and now that his estate is...
I had another opportunity to take my new PCR to the range -- only the second time I have shot it and first time with the new G10 grips, so I really needed the practice. The first trip to the range produced groups that were low and left, which I worked to correct with some snap cap practice to...
Baby got new grips. After two attempts to contact KSD about their wood grips and getting no answer in reply, I decided to try out some G10 grips. These are the Sunburst/Coyote Color grips from CoolHand that come with screws, o-rings, and wrench -- not too bad. Just a hair long at the bottom of...
These ... drool, drool!
They're made by KSD, but the photo was posted at a different site two years ago, and I don't see these listed in KSD's inventory anymore. I'm thinking I will send them an inquiry about getting them made anyway.
