My bedside gun is the same as my carry gun, an H&K P30SK-V3. Why not keep the same operation for the same circumstances. I have a P30SK-LEM trigger gun and I'm slowly learning to accept it.

For every day carry, I prefer an H&K P30SK with the V3 trigger (DA/SA). But, I have a P30SK with the LEM trigger and am warming to it.

A single data point, I bought an 8-3/8" Model 14-3 for $725 back in 2017. The gun shoots well but the bluing has some rough spots in it.

My mistake, "sometimers disease" is taking hold. Yes, the Colt 1903 and Colt 1908 are blow back actions. The size and weight if the pistol helps reduce the felt recoil.
