    Savage Model 93 BTVS Magnum

I have one in 17 HMR and love it. Not sure about the suppressor. Very accurate, nice handling gun, fun to shoot. Ammo a bit pricey.

    Ruger GSR .223/5.56

After buying a tikka in 223 that has a magazine with a insert. I'll never buy another rifle that doesn't have a proper fitting magazine. It just doesn't work.

    Questions about Reforming Brass: .243 > .260

You make me a little jealous wish I was getting one soon. Let us know how it shoots when you get it.

    Questions about Reforming Brass: .243 > .260

I think I was going with the 6.5CM because it sounds cooler, it sounds like the 260 would be easier to reform brass for, so I might have to have a rethink about what to get. How good is your 260? As I have no experience with either the 6.5CM or the 260.

Thanks for your input. I'll have play with it over the next few days and let you know if it improves.

    second hand Mossberg 802

I expected much better to. I used 3 different types of ammo federal, CCI target and Aussie ammo. The Aussie ammo was best and probably 10 years old. The crown is ok, bore seems ok to. The barrel was touching down 1 side. Not sure how much it will affect a 22. Yeah I gave it a really good clean...

    Questions about Reforming Brass: .243 > .260

Don't really see any advantages can't get ammo or brass for the 260 over here either. And I was tossing up between the two. Still could go the way of the 260.

    second hand Mossberg 802

Picked up my second hand Mossberg yesterday and took it out today, it is the most inaccurate gun I have ever seen. It shot 6inch groups at 30 feet. At least I'll have a toy to try and get it shooting straight. If any on has some tips on what to look at would be much appreciated.

    Questions about Reforming Brass: .243 > .260

Thank you very much I think I'll be able to do this. I'm looking at buying a 6.5 but I live in Australia and ammo is near impossible to get and brass just as hard to find. And I have heaps of 308 brass. It looks like when I can afford a new rifle it'll be a 6.5. Thanks again Chas

    Questions about Reforming Brass: .243 > .260

Don't mean to high jack your thread but do know if necking down from 308 to 6.5 creadmoor is that easy or is it a two stage process?

Love it. The curiosity of whether or not it will fire is temping but you know what curiosity did to the cat.

rifle & caliber for 300 to 600 yards

Get the savage. I have a tikka varment nice accurate gun but doesn't feel good. I have a howa really accurate but you will have to fix the trigger their that bad you might as well order a new trigger with the gun. The browning I have is a great all round gun but I think I was lucky to get one so...

Dilema - Need help convincing a friend from making a potential firearm mistake

This sort of thing is what leads to more gun laws affecting everyone. I live in Australia and you don't loan you're gun period, the only time someone else uses it is if you are with them.

Help me choose my next purchase...

I think the savage axis XP is the way to go as they have the accu-trigger, and are a very good gun for the money.

    .22lr MEGATHREAD

It sounds bad for you guys other in the US. At least here in Australia you can buy as much ammo for a 22 as you want. Sounds like your prizes are about the same as here now. But you still don't have the silly gun laws we have, I brought a second hand 22 Mossberg on the weekend and I'll have to...
