FMJ vs JHP for self defense

FMJ or HP IMO---FMJ will usually go thru the body and not do much damage. The JHP will expand and rip flesh, muscle, arteries etc., and 14" is plenty deep enough for ANY human body. But, either one will do damage and cause bleeding and a shot in the pelvic area will take you down. If you have...

    CZ 527 feeding

They all show .204. I have noticed that they have rough edges along the top lips and make a deep scratch in the brass as the bolt strips them out. I stoned one on the edges and that helped some, but it's almost like the springs are too long or the lips are too tight. I've also tried leaving...

    CZ 527 feeding

I have a CZ 527 in .204. The problem I have is loading the mags with 5 rounds and they are very hard to strip off the 1st and 2nd rounds. The rest seem to come off OK. Pistol suggestion for sihouette shooting

My suggestion would be the EAA Witness steel frame .22/.45. Check out their web site. The .22 has adjustable sights, the .45 slide does not but both are VERY accurate. You just change out the upper slide assy and mags then shoot.

According to a video I was watching, that can be done, but does it work and are there issues of trying to match...

    EAA .45 Witness

Anyone out there shooting the EAA Witness full size on a regular basis? I'm considering the .45 for fun shooting, protection, target, and whatever. Are they accurate, reliable, strong and are custom parts and thin grips available to build something for my taste?
