Thanks for the compliment Scrat. From my untrained eye, the engraving looks to be hand done and not laser cut. I suppose the age of the revolver (1970's) precludes laser engraving. Now, if I can only skake off this summer cold, I can take her to the range and get properly introduced;).

Thanks Smokin Gun for the info on the nipples/cones. Without a micrometer handy, I couldn't tell what the thread size on the original ones was - beisdes it was probally metric.
