Is It Time To Stockpile Ammo?

I reload but don't keep more than a few hundred rounds loaded for each firearm. I do however have the components to load as much ammo as I would need for any civil defense situation.

    Acme Bullets has new owners.

I use them to store my $20 gold coins.

Well, Turn the lights off on Wa. State.

And he's running for governor. Don't forget that.

Well, Turn the lights off on Wa. State.

I'm not sure why. There are no restrictions for having ammo shipped to WA. I'm not having any problems getting ammo shipped to my front porch. Placed an order a few days ago and it's in route. Who's not shipping ammo to WA?

    Biden closes ‘gun show loophole’

Correct. The ATF didn't invent this. They just move in whatever direction the wind blows at DOJ. With Obama it was armor piercing ammo, with Trump it was bump stocks, and now it's people selling firearms without a FFL. The illegal number to be determined in court. I don't blame the ATF. They...

    Biden closes ‘gun show loophole’

So how do they prosecute someone that sells 25 firearms a year? Is it 5, 10 or 20 that's illegal? In the business of dealing in firearms won't hold up in court if nobody can define it. Prosecutor: He was speeding your honor. Judge: How fast was he going? Prosecutor: 45 MPH Judge: What's the...

    Biden closes ‘gun show loophole’

Nothing new where I live. The state legislature passed a UBC a few years ago. Every sale/transfer has to go through an FFL. They all got some state sponsored income for a few years charging $50 for a transfer, but recently they passed HB 2118 that will drive the gun show and home FFL's out of...

    knives made from files

Curtis Green makes knives from recycled metal. His favorite is probably cotton gin spindles. IIRC they're mostly stainless steel. I was in his shop in Chama NM a few years ago. I should have purchased one of his knives but couldn't think of a use for it.

Tell me about vintage Ithaca SxS’s

NID was the better modern 20th century shotgun. Flues and Lewis weren't considered a stellar design. A 20 ga NID would temp me. I see you purchased both. Somebody has to rescue those old American made sxs shotguns. ;) Have you checked the chambers on those? 2.75" wasn't a standard until the...

    Trigger Job on Minty 19-3

I have a 19-3. I never found anything wrong with the factory trigger. As a matter of fact, I like it a lot.

Handgun, Rifle, PCC, or Shotgun for Home Defense?

I prefer a pistol with a light on it. Never understood the shotgun for HD rage. All of my shotguns and rifles are locked in my safe. I have a pistol in my desk and one in my night stand. Those are the places you can find me 70% of the time when I'm home.

Well, Turn the lights off on Wa. State.

I've always thought that after Obama's administration and Sandy Hook, that the numbers of firearms sold exponentially increased. Same thing happened here with state AG legislation every year for the past 5 years. So now that it's almost impossible to purchase a firearm here, most people just...

Well, Turn the lights off on Wa. State.

I'm in WA. My guess is this law won't matter to brick and mortar gun dealers like Cabela's and Sportsmans Warehouse. Many mom and pop dealers have already closed up shop here. This new law will probably close the rest of them. This new law will force people to buy from the retailers instead of...

Well, Turn the lights off on Wa. State.

Probably not. ATF doesn't care what states require to do business as long as they comply with ATF regulations. For instance, WA runs their own background checks. There is nothing going to NICS directly from a dealer. It goes to the WSP.

Striker Fired: What am I Missing?

SIG's P series are also pretty basic to field strip. Not sure why a full disassembly would be necessary in the field. Who's going to be carrying all those parts anyway? Certainly not me. Do that at home and replace the parts that see the most wear on a regular schedule. Like the vehicle that got...
