You've obviously never shot actual 230 grain Federal "match" loads which are probably among the hottest loaded 45 rounds available. They also go through a tighter QA process than most SD rounds. This is not the stuff you buy at walmart!
For those of you that say a plugged HP acts the same as an...
I'll throw my 2 pennies in:
Anything under a .45-I carry a hollow point
.45 - I'll carry either 230 grain hardball or a hollow point. It depends on the season, if I have to worry about heavy winter clothing clogging up a hollow point then I carry hardball.
Except for the ones that have an NM prefix in the serial number and are stamped "Geneseo, IL" "Made in the USA"
Which is about half of the run of the mill springfields you'll run into. More than just their custom shop guns are assembled here. It's about a 50/50 split on their production level...

At the very least, he should have permit permanently revoked!!!!! It's because of idiots like this, that there is so much red tape to get through in some states!
Yet another golden nugget of gunstore clerk brilliance!!!! I need to get a job working in one of the joints that employ these idiots, just for the sheer entertainment value!
Their Custom II is actually one of the only pistols of theirs that I feel priced correctly. The issue lies in the fact that other than some minor cosmetic differences, I don't really see enough to justify the additional cost for the higher prices models.
I will say this though, their Custom II...
Kimbers are indeed great guns, but I think they are over priced great guns.
Compare any kimber out there to a Springfield TRP, and you'll see a world of difference in the quality of fit and finish. The price of a TRP is on the high end of Kimber's line but when you're spending over 1k on a gun...
