Wow, I had not thought of that. Come to think of it when I did the muzzle loader barrel I had mentioned, I had done it during the summer, this is the first time trying to do it in the winter. Thank you for that piece of information, while I'm doing my research I'll look into that as well.

Yes, when I'm bluing the metal I'm doing it in the garage, and it being close to the winter the only heat I have is coming from a small space heater that I have so I don't freeze to death, but yes, the metal is cold. All I am using is Birchwood Casies Super Blue. Did the same thing with this...
