    Best Southern State

You have to try Southwest Virginia. The mountains are "purtty" and the people are real nice for the most part. You have to watch some of the nosey yuppie types in Abingdon. Our CCw laws are real relaxed. I paid $15.00 and showed a copy of my hunter safety class from seventh grade and walked...

I have a S&W M60(no dash) from the late sixties. I have a hard time finding standard pressue factory ammo suitable for carry. Does anyone know a load that would work? I am am going to be starting in reloading in the next little bit once some extra money comes in. Any advice in types of...

Tennessee lawmakers having a bad day.

It is about time. Most of Tennessee's politcos in the western part of the state(past Wasington county) are vey left wing all I can say is keep rounding them up. The ones in NE TN on the other hand tend to very conservative and honest men. They should just break off that tip of the state and...

    Carry on TN lakes

Does anyone know if it is okay to carry on TVA lakes in Tenneessee? I am going with my father in law to South Holston Lake and it crosses the state line with Virginia. I am okay in VA but cant seem to find the answer on Tn?

What size handgun do you carry?

I carry some type of S&W K-frame revolver everyday. Sometimes it is a Model 10 or model 64 or a Model 19. They all have 4 inch barrels but, they all hide and carry just fine in a El Paso Tortilla holster worn right behind my right hip. And I also carry my Model 60 in the weak side front pocket.

Which one is the American Handgun?

I dare say more people have used a Model 10 to protect themselves than any other type of firearm in America.

how many of you carry 2 guns for CCW?

Yes, I carry two guns always. Most of the time it is a S&W Model 10 and a Model 60. I carry the .38 Special "FBI load" in them both. But some times I will carry the M10 and a M64. Just depends on how I feel.

    Guns for a Modern Cowboy

Either one. This is a light hearted question intendedto start some conversation and maybe bring some Old West history into the mix.

    Guns for a Modern Cowboy

In the days of the Old West, the guns would have been a Colt Peacemaker or maybe a S&W No.3 and a Winchester 1873 in .44-40. What would your guns be if you were working as a cowboy to today. My choice would be my S&W M28 Highway Patrolman and a Marlin lever-gun in .35 Remington. I just...

What guns for the Roaring Twenties?

I just picked the revenuer, because that is a person who would have been loaded for bear against Al Capone or some of his cronnies. And belive me my family has a few bootleggers in the family tree from those times. They were bad trouble makersby all accounts before they became Christians and...

What guns for the Roaring Twenties?

What guns would you carry if you were a Revenue agent in the 1920's in the big cities? How about if you were stationed in the rural Appalachian Mountains of Virigina or West Virginia? In the big city, I'd take a pair of Colt "Fitz Specials" in .45 Long Colt. For a rifle Winchester 1895 in...

    Qualities of the Cowboy

The "code of the cowboy" is a set of ideals to try and live by. They could be the code of the plummer or code of the hobo for all I care, but the idea's set down in them are what matters. All that being said these are the ten that matter: TEN COMMANDMENTS King James Version Exodus...
