Great post!New "American Rifleman" article written by Bryce M.Towsley, on the .327 Magnum cartridge, page 64:Quote:"The .327 Federal Mag. can be chambered in any handgun designed to handle the .357 Mag."Unquote.Sounds fishy to me!Am i misinterpreting his meaning?
I use Hoppes 9 and a toothbrush on my 317 with no problems. At the range, when i'm done shooting, while the barrel is still warm,i run a Boresnake thru it a couple of times.
I carry either a S&W 37-2[.38 Sp.],or a S&W 640-1[.357 Mag.],depending on the season and circumstance.Both are J frame snubs.Don't own any semis.Not my cup of tea.
I have bought several used that still have the un-filled out warrenty card with them.Should i fill them out and send them in?There is no place on them to list where they were bought.
I have a 317 in 2"[8 shot] and a 617-6 in 4"[10 shot].Both are good;the 617 is excellent!Great trigger,timing,etc.Very accurate.I bought it new and have put around 20,000 rounds thru it with no problems.
Scotchbrite's and Simichrome or Flitz.I've heard not to use steel wool on stainless;will leave microscopic pieces that will pick up rust.DHART on the S&W forum uses only scotchbrite and Flitz. His guns are the best i've seen!
