Wow, this is a rout. I expected good feedback, but not THIS good. Something about seeing numbers puts a different spin on everything positive I've been hearing.

If you have Cabela's in your area they're selling Browning BDAs on sale for (relatively) cheap seemingly non-stop.

Looked at the Maverick and the Mossberg Persuader and settled on the Mossie. They looked and felt identical (supposed to, I hear), but the tang safety won me over. If not for that, I most likely would have bought the Maverick. Having a pistol grip is nice too, just because. Looks great...

Like the looks of the sporter and the 7-hole sporter. No idea why the 7-hole seems to be much cheaper (looks the same). Anyone have experience with these?

my hammer pivot pokes out a little, but it doesn't fall out with the grip in place. no big deal. shoots perfectly fine.

In case it wasn't clear, I like this gun. A lot. The slide lock "issue" to me is a non-issue, but they're being replaced for free all the same. The "issue" is that the lock is recessed to the point of being nearly impossible to engage (trust me, that ain't exaggeration). Another 250...

Considering SHORT ON FUNDS I think a 9mm makes a helluva lot of sense. The Ruger has capacity, durability, low price and the difference versus the RIA .45 makes up for itself in ammo and mags.
