    The Casing looks good, as does the chamber. I can get the extractor to grab onto spent shells all day, and it holds them reasonably strongly.

    Cold Bore Shot 1011 yards

    I pretty much only fire my 30-06 cold bore. As my hunting rifle, this makes sense. Love to have a range I could shoot that far, longest shots I've been able to do were 330 yards up in fairbanks, and I was doing milk jugs offhand, and soda cans sitting.

    FOr under 1k I'd say the Vepr 54r on sale at Atlantic firearms right now is probably the best, though you'd have to make due with cheaper, more powerful ammo. There are folding stock kits for 'em, but with the pretty wood they have. . . kinda a shame. :)
