    Not a direct answer to your question but My Henry is finicky on feeding if action cycled slowly. Cycle in a vigorous motion all is well. Take that into account while evaluating your own ammo selection.

    Smallest 1911 we have is Commander size. EMP much smaller overall. .45 Colt Defender is probably larger than EMP by necessity because of Caliber.

    I am not a lawyer. A Shockwave is not a short barrel shotgun. Technicality or loop hole ( hate to use that word ) If it was it would be a NFA item.

    Maybe because of the grip it’s possible. No limp wrist problems on commander size 1911 in .45 , no problems with multiple Glocks. But it could be she just can’t get correct grip on EMP.
