Frankenstein's web site http://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/press-releases?ID=28d0c499-28ec-42a7-902d-ebf318d46d02 merely gives a summary of the bill and only states:

Once was a GOA member/contributor. The more I learned, the more I disliked and I let my membership lapse. I'm a member of the NRA, SAF, CCRKBA and my state rifle association. I make contributions to the latter three.
I let mine expire a few months back. It was handy for awhile, but I haven't bought a C&R gun in a long time. Discounts were nice as well, but I did some buying back in 2007 when it was apparent that our next President would be a Dimmicrat. I no longer have a "need" for a C&R License.
I used to be a member of both, but now only support SAF.
About all I ever saw from GOA was a bunch of breathlessly overheated rhetoric. They also seemed too ready to publicly assail and condemn other organizations that didn't fully subscribe to their give-no-ground hard line stance. IMHO, GOA...
I have never understood my fellow man's apparent need to provide free advertisements for the companies/causes/organizations that have "accepted" their money. Glock stickers on bumpers. Logos on shirts and jackets. Vegan signs in vehicle windows. ***?
As cynical as I get, I just can't keep up.
Lyman is a great general information handbook - I have one and use it often. HOWEVER, there is no reloading handbook panacea. YMMV, but when I am reloading with Speer bullets, I go to the Speer manual first. When reloading with Hornady bullets, I go to the Hornady manual. When reloading with...
A POTENTIAL gun owner??:scrutiny: How many CCW holders do you know who are NOT gun owners? If one does not own a gun, why would one get a concealed carry permit?
As far as the "authorities" knowing you have a gun, if you bought it from a FFL the Feds already know you are a gun...
Glock - meh. I post for two reasons:
1) I have bought several police trade-ins from Summit. I recommend them.
2) My experience with police trade-ins is that they are in dire need of a good cleaning, and once that is done, are good firearms.
Blowingsky: Thanks for posting - at age 66, I'm having the same problems.
The rest of you: Thanks for the suggestions. No way I'm getting Lasik surgery. I can see at distances just fine; have needed reading glasses for twenty years. My ophthalmologist and I will be having a lengthy...
I have make the "pilgrimage" to the CMP South Store from Kansas and do not regret it - I recommend the experience. If one does not want to make the trip, my advice is to order ONLY Service Grades. Even if you receive one that is at the bottom of the grade, it will be a pretty good rifle. A...
Buy the book. It's worth the $25 - you can't even buy a bottle of good Scotch for $25. It's worth the money for the analysis of home defense firearms. Bible it's not, (THAT'S in the mind of the author) - reference manual is more like it.
I agree with your assessment - Libertarian all the...
As already noted, a full 50 cal can is heavy.:( I use 50 cal cans for STORING ammo and 30 cal cans for CARRYING ammo. I just transfer the rounds as needed. I typically have a 30 cal can of each caliber that I regularly shoot "at the ready".
I find that a couple of 30 cal cans is usually...
