    Mini-MN Get-Together?

Usually after work later in the week works for me. I have Monday off, but have some family stuff going on around noon until maybe 6, then have a meeting to go to at night. If everyone is heading out on Monday, let me know the time. I may be able to make it at least for awhile.

    Mini-MN Get-Together?

Noon We'll decide around noon then for a no go or not. From what I hear, that's about when it's going to start to rain. I'll make sure I'm around my computer then and if you guys want to email me, I can hand out my work phone and/or cell. No problem. Do you have any extra .380 by any...

    A First Look At A Lightweight 45

Interesting. I suppose the extra length in the frame wouldn't so much add weight. I thought I read the difference between a full size and officer size frame is only an ounce or so. Any idea on the weight of the slides only (one with cuts, one without) for each?

    Mini-MN Get-Together?

Maybe this would be a good time to figure out what gear everyone is bringing? Any rifle shooting? If so, I will bring my ugly but accurate .22 rifle. Anyone interested in something in particular? I have a Detonics Combatmaster if anyone is interested - tiny .45 grip. Also, I have a Kel Tec...

Wildalaska Wildalaska Did you find out how much weight was reduced with the cuts yet?

    Which press?

I started with the 550 and had no problems learing the ropes, so I don't think the single stage is worth the extra time. I shoot 150-250 rounds a session, 3 days a week and the 550 keeps up fine. I only load for/shoot .45, but may add .380 eventually. For you, I'd suggest the 550 or 650...

    Colt 1911 WW1 Repro...shoot It Or Not

My theory is Colt's are sold to the average plinker who shoots a couple times a year and just wants to have a Colt. And Colts are bought by the older hardcore shooter who has a bunch of guns. He may have 100 guns, of which only 10 are really shot all that much. It seems that way around my...

    Colt 1911 WW1 Repro...shoot It Or Not

Are you talking about the WWI and WWII's? Or the series 70?;) This is a tough one really. I guess if you own a bunch of guns, say over 25, I can see the point of having a few that aren't shot. Then again, what the heck are they for? I'd at least shoot them some - and kind of baby them...

    another AWB sunset question?

It'll be intersting to see if Ruger ships with +10 mags since Bill Ruger said "no honest man needs more than 10 rounds."

    good low priced .22?

The grip angle on the Ruger is much like the Glock. The Browning is a decent gun too. I own a Browning and would recommend that and a Ruger. Both should be used for under $200. And if you don't like either, resale is pretty good. Beretta makes a .22, but it's either a love or hate thing.

Colt Goverment Model - Colt Perfection

What'd you expect? It's like American Handgunner around here. ;) I like my Kimber Gold Match (no II) so much I may buy another in stainless. I wouldn't trade that for anything. But my Defender has been great, and my Series 70 repro can shoot like that too. Of everything on my list, most...

    A First Look At A Lightweight 45

Any idea on how much weight was reduced with those lightning cuts? I was thinking of *trying* to do that with my reduced grip Defender, but I don't know. It's been 100% reliable and I kind of don't want to mess with it. Then again, a 20 oz 1911 is kind of a neat idea.
