So my favorite shotgun for hunting Velociraptors is missing a part that I am having one hell off a time finding. So I turn to you guys, where can I find an Operating handle spring for the Spas 12?
Any help is appreciated, hopefully someone here has a parts gun?!?
Well I believe I may name my first child Wheeler Pro! I used it to level out the scope on my .308 and I was cogniscent of keeping my rifle level while shooting and here is the result of a 4 shot group at the 600 yard line.
Again I appreciate all the info and help!
I have not been to the range again but today I went and bought a Wheeler Pro level, pulled the rifle apart and made sure everything was as plum and true as I could. I will have to see what it does hopefully tomorrow.
I appreciate all the info, thats why I love this community!
How is the best way to push the shoulders back without FL sizing? (I'm not terribly thrilled about FL sizing in my bolt gun)
So my reloads in my Savage 10FCP .308 for some reason about 50% of the time chamber hard, or rarely wont chamber at all. Also I will have a very noticable scuff on the bullet right at or below the O-give.
Here are the details of the load -
- All federal match brass, neck sized ( used...
^^^ My Savage 10FCP will shoot ragged dime sized 6 shot groups all day with 168 gr SMK's and A-Max's with 40 gr of Varget. My advise to you is go with a heavier bullet and you will be shocked at how quiickly your 3 MOA groups will turn into .75 MOA or less.
Its no secret that...
I carry factory loads in all of my SD firearms. I do not carry handloads mainly because I dont want to ever have to be up on the stand and have a defense attorney rip apart every choice you made in those hand loads from primer to bullet choice. (I deal with Defense attorneys a lot and some...
Would you guys just chalk it up to how the rifle shoots and Dope it out any time I shoot at those ranges?
What would you guys do?
(Keep in mind prior to this 600 yard range opening I have been limited to 100 and 200 yard ranges, so this is a new problem for me)
So I have worked up a 168gr SMK load that my Savage 10FCP absolutely loves (consistent 6 shot dime sized groups at 100yards)
Well I took the rifle and that load out to my local range and I noticed that it shot 1.5-2 inches to the right at 200, no biggie, I chalked it up to flinches and/or a...
I do have a Chronograph and I have some baseline Velocitys on the factory rounds. I'm sure Fiocchi keeps it a secret but it would be nice to find out info on the powder they use. I have some Varget for my .308 but I've heard its a little slow burning for the .223
I have a DPMS Bull 20 that I have been tinkering with some loads lately. Its a 1-9 twist and it so far LOVES the factory loaded 50gr Fiocchi ballistic tip rounds. So much so that at 100 yards its not a problem to get nickle and dime sized 5 shot groups.
Here's my issue... I absolutely love...
I've had my Savage 10FCP HS Precision .308 for several years now and I can get very good groups at 100yds with my hand-loads, but I am sort of a neat freak and it bugs me to no end to not have a clean firearm at the end of the day.
My question for you guys is, how often are you hitting your...
