The P99 is a real masterpiece. World class ergonomics and reliability with a u unique DA/SA striker fired trigger that is truly excellent with a super short reset. Easy to rack the slide on too. The paddle mag release is superior to a button in my book. Much sexier than a Glock. The PPQ is...
Just added some Talon grip tape to my EDC Spyderco Tenacious with a zip tie wave mod. I carry that as my primary defense blade. I also EDC a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 for utility purposes. And I also EDC a CRKT Minimalist on my belt in the SOB position as a backup to either of the others.
Best bet would actually be HST 150g for Micro pistols. Or Speer Gold Dot 124g +P Short barrel. Otherwise go with standard pressure HST or Gold Dot 124g. Check out this testing. The 9mm was a 3.5" barrel.

At home defense ranges I want my spread to open up more than the flight control allows. I specifically won't but the flight control buck for just that reason. Would make sense for law enforcement though where the range might be farther.
Afraid the notch thing won't work on the PPS mags because the base plates are an extension of the grip design/texture. Unless you swap out the base plates and add the notch.
As for the Creed it just made an appearance on tonight's episode of Guns and Ammo Tv. Looked pretty seeet suprizingly...
I just picked up a few more folders. A Spyderco Tenacious combo edge, Kershaw Ember, Kershaw Scallion, and CRKT M16SFG. Will typically EDC my new Tenacious and Dragonfly.
Oh come on now. The PPS M2 was a major improvement. The only reason mags weren't compatible was because of the button mag release and redesigned grip texture which extends to the base plates. Compatibility wasn't possible even if they wanted to. It's not like they did to screw people over.
It is the replacement for the PPX. The PPX was discontinued earlier this year. And yes it is supposed to accept PPX mags. It's really just a PPX M2 with a wired name.
It's basically a PPX M2 with a dumb name. All the PPX owners on the Walther forums rave about the ergonomics and trigger. This is essentially the same gun with a more sleek appearance. It is made in the Ulm plant in Germany so is not one of the Umarex wannabe guns. It's a value priced entry...
You should consider upgrading to the new 1L-1AA. Anout the same size as your 1L but puts out 350 lumens with a cr123 instead of the 180 of the 1L. Almost twice as bright. And can also use a AA and still put out 155 lumens. Plus the pocket clip can also clip to a hat or car visor or something...
