    Time to buy a Beretta

Did anyone see the Baltimore Sun this morning? This exact topic made the front cover of the local section. It seems like they are staying put for the foreseeable future. Given the strong words Beretta had about this... it looks like words are all that will come of it. I wouldn't buy your...

Swedes do well (again) in Mauser Match

For some reason those rules mimic USMC range rules. I believe using a "loop sling" (one wrapped around your arm and attached to the front sling swivel) in the standing was nixed due to safety concerns If a shooter falls over for some reason unexpected things can happen if they let go of the...

And the US Army's M4A1 Carbine contract goes to...

I've always been issued Colts. Some of my buddies were issued brand new full size A4s that were FN made. I never had a problem with any of my Colts.

My new toy (who says ARs aren't available for good prices)

No rear sight at all? That does seem weird. I unboxed a flat top carbon 15 in December and it came with a small red-dot scope in lieu of irons. Nothing at all does seem incomplete. Now you are out at least 50-100 bucks just to shoot it and hit paper. Kind of them to "pass those savings on to you".

    Firearm Confiscation

I think the active duty military guys (with title 10 authority) are not allowed to operate against US citizens on our soil. The coast guard is the only exception, as they are granted arrest authority at the cost of being able to operate like others. This is why you typically only see national...

How many mags would be enough

In the USMC, the standard load is six magazines. We all carry at least that with more not far away. I guess if we all had that, and all had AR-15's in 5.56, we would closely mimic the world's greatest fighting force. And what a good force to mimic! SSgt Blythe

    Cz 527 Carbine scope suggestions?

Can you still buy them new from stores or are they all used at this point?

    Stuff in the box.

Current USMC use a ball point pen most of the time. Some people have tools on the range, others use a M855 round. We usually have a data book that we record all of our shots in, hence the great availability of the ball point pen.

Manatee Gun & Archery Club & Other FLorida Outdoor Shooting Range Questions

Manatee is a nice place to practice with your long guns. They have a 1000 yd range which is a lot of fun. At the 600-ish yard line they have a permanent metal target, as well as several out at 1000. They provide golf carts to use if you need to go way down range. I enjoyed each of my trips...

    Calling all Marines!

If he is going to boot camp, he will not be allowed to carry anything other than the clothes on his back and his wallet. If you want to give him something to take with him, send him off with good memories of home and send him lots of letters. The high-speed gear you are referring to might be...
