    .45 ACP decision...

Get yourself a P-90 Ruger and feed it what you want. Generations from now they will still be trying to figure out how to wear that thing out.

    Smith and Wesson model 13

I dont hear much talk about this model, but after considering a 58-1(.41mag classic series w/lock), I put money down on a 13-1 w/original box owners manual&cleaning kit,99%blueing(possibly never even shot). With ammo cost being what it is and no reloading equipment i figured it would be more...

    S&W Model 58-1 .41mag

What can you guys tell me about this make/model, I cant seem to find much info about it? LGS has a used one in the $700 range and wondering if its worth what their asking. Some details include a polished blue finish, original shipping case, no blueing wear/fired very little if at all, and of...

    S&W Model 25-5 .45 colt

Any thoughts good or bad? The one i'm looking at has the 8 3/8" barrel(lets hear the dirty harry jokes!). Its in really good condition with some wear on the grips, and serial #82NXXX(anyone know approx. manf. date?). My big concern is reliaility for what I'm paying($800 range) is it worth it or...

Thank you for all the reply's, doesnt sound like too many negatives despite being "a Taurus" unusual.

    Taurus 431-.44 special

I know, I know, why Taurus. Well, I have found a 431 stainless built early 90's/all original in great condition. Does anyone know if the reputation of these were alright, or am I getting into a realm of firearms I should'nt venture into. BTW, the price is $450.00 which seems kind of on the high...

CZ 83 vs Sig P250 vs Bersa plus in 380

I found a CZ-83(not 82,yes they made a small run in the 83) satin nickle 9mm Makarov at LGS couple weeks back for $289 unfired. A steal in my opinion as the .380 was about $75.00 more(ammo availability?) I also own a Bulgarian Makarov. The CZ is a beautiful piece and takedown is as simple as it...

    New Makarov in the collection

Nice collection, I just added a CZ-83 9x18 makarov w/satin nickle finish to go with my Bulgie Mak today. There's just something about that round.

Browning BDA .380, Oddball in a Tactical World

I just walked into our local shop and they had a brand new nickle plated one for $650.00. It seemed pretty high priced for a .380, but after reading this thread, I feel good about the purchase. Just out of curiosity, why are new BDA's still showing up in shops after being discontinued years ago?

    Tcr 83

I just put one of these on layaway and was curious if anyone knows much about these rifles. This one is chambered in a .22 Hornet and has the double set triggers. The wood is beautiful and the bluing reminds me of a T-series browning hipower. The little information I could gather is Thompson...

Tell me more about the .405Win...

I have the .405 in a Ruger #1 Tropical and it is a pleasure to shoot. More of a big push vs. sharp recoil. I shot my deer with it this year, and the big benefit I saw was the deer was pretty well guted by the time I reached it! By the way, reloading is a must.

Limitations of the 6.5x55 SE Caliber

Speaking of such a rifle to handload for all North American game, this may do the job. Something I picked up last week, a special run of 250 of these stainless/walnut Ruger No. 1 Swede beauties!
