Just a quick question on the dimensional differences between single stack and double stack AK-47 type magazines, if any?
Secondly, can single stack magazines fit into double stack mag wells and are there any problems with doing so?
As for reasoning, note location and intended rifle - AIA...
In the Australian Army, the default setup of our FN Minimi's (F89) is a picatinny rail mounted with a Steyr Aug type scope (1.5x and the 'doughnut of death reticle'). I would not be surprised if the high speed, low drag boys add ACOG's and other types of optics.
"anyone selling m44's now? I can't find one...."

"I've handled a few in the shops but have never "pulled the trigger" so to speak."
Well there is, not surprisingly, plenty of 'bark' (flash/noise) but not much 'bite' (recoil).
Simple question.
Facing down the barrel as if you were aiming the rifle, do you tap the sight retaining pin to the left or the right on an M48A?
Mine didn't seem to budge in either direction and I didn't want to force it out in the wrong direction.
