Anti-gun media backfire: This is awesome!

While interviewing President of the NRA Wayne LaPierre, NBCs Meet the Press displayed an empty 30-round AR-15 magazine as a prop to make the point that banning them would reduce the death toll in incidents like the Sandy Hook massacre. "High capacity" magazines are already banned in Washington...

    Kel Tec PF9

Sorry to hear you're having such trouble. I've got 600 rounds through my PF-9, including 100 of my +P carry ammo, and I trust it completely. Practice ammo has been Federal and Remington UMC, and carry ammo is DoubleTap's 124gr. loading with the Speer GDHP. Too bad they quit producing that...

M&P Shield vs Walther PPS and G26

boricua9mm said it best: I love the M&P line of pistols, and I'm sure that the Shield is a fine piece. But, for as long as the CCW world has been waiting for one of the major manufacturers to come out with a better small, light, single stack 9mm, I agree with those who have stated that the...

    Looking for quality/cheap .308 ammo

I have found Federal American Eagle reasonable by the 500 rd. case on Gunbroker.com, and it's made in the USA. Also, check out the "seconds and blems" section at tacticalammunition.com

    local FTF sales

I've also had good response from good people by posting a picture add on the bulletin board at the local range.

    CCH At A License Check

I'm WAY more concerned about the "license check" than I am the issue with the firearm. Papers, please...

Big oops at Walmart, gun on the floor!

If I remove my firearm in a public setting, I always remove the holster with the gun in it. Doing so prevents the possibility of an accidental discharge while handling the firearm.

    Oil Rifle Mags Inside?

The only thing I would use to lube the inside of a magazine is a dry lube like a silicone spray. Nothing that will attract dust and lint, and certainly no oil in magazines that you keep loaded, as it could potentially wick into the cartridges.

Just got a PF9, have questions

The "shear the screw thing" doesn't apply to the P-11. That pistol doesn't use the extractor spring screw to retain the firing pin like the PF-9 does.

    Smith and Wesson M&P Line

I've had the full size and compact M&P in .40. Sold the full size because I just didn't need it, but it was a fantastic pistol. If I was in law enforcement, and could carry any full size pistol I wanted to, that would be it. I have the compact on my hip as I type, and, unless dress and...

    Best CCW?

I LOVE my Kel-Tec PF-9, and would highly recommend it. That said, if you like Sigs, and you're not in a hurry, check out the New P290. http://sigsauer.com/Products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=70&productid=307

Just got a PF9, have questions

I would just use snap caps if you're concerned about it. They are cheap insurance. A note on maintaining the reliability of your PF-9: Make sure you keep the extractor spring screw tight. It's the hex screw you see on the exterior of the slide behind the ejection port. The only time my...

Karh CW9 vs Kel Tec P11 vs Kel Tec PF9 for CCW

P-11 if capacity is a MAJOR criteria. I had one. It was as reliable as any gun I've owned, but the trigger stinks. PF-9 if you want a reliable yet inexpensive gun with a good trigger. I currently own one, have 600 trouble-free rounds through it, and love it! Kahr if you have money...

DPMS LR-308 MOE (Magpul Original Equipment)

I've considered the LR-308T, but the raised height reciever rail forces the user to mount optics and sights higher above the bore line than the standard height A3 reciever rail does, and I'm not interested in that. The Magpul forend and stock do only cost about $90, but the Oracle uses the...
