RCBS quick change vs. Hornady Lock-N-Load powder measure

The fine powder leaking is what is pushing me to upgrade the Lee's.

    Reloading scare

How did the case look that was just filled? I've had some of the powder through expanders that would catch on the lip of a case and then "pop" as the expander slid off the lip of the case. 90% of the time when this would happen it would bend one side of the case rim over on itself. My .32 S&W...

RCBS quick change vs. Hornady Lock-N-Load powder measure

Does RCBS have anything like Hornady's "quick change powder die" that will also flare the case mouth when the powder is dropped?

RCBS quick change vs. Hornady Lock-N-Load powder measure

I'd like to upgrade my powder measure. Currently I'm using a Lee Auto-drum on an older Pro 1000. Does anyone have experience with both of these measures and can make a recommendation on one over the other, or are they so similar that it comes down to which color is your preference? They are...

    What am I printing??

Nice, I have printed some reloading/gun related stuff, but I'm thoroughly convinced that 75% of things that are printed, are things for the 3D printer you have!

Alec Baldwin: "I didn't pull the trigger.."

I read an article that stated that the live rounds may have been handloads that were mixed in with some ammo that was given to the armorer and that's how they ended up on the set. ***? I would think that knowing if you have live ammo on the set would be a primary job of the armorer. I...

    Frankford Arsenal rotary tumbler

Not sure what the gaskets are made of, but petroleum jelly can dissolve rubber and neoprene. If you have access to a 3D printer you can print a "wrench" that will give you more leverage. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4908772

What’s the big deal with ‘dirty ammo’?

He was most likely shooting uncoated lead rounds in his revolver and most of the smoke was from the lube. I enjoy shooting lead indoors, as long as the ventilation system is working well. Puts out a nice cloud but disperses pretty quickly in the range I frequent.

My new Lee APP press came today.

I couldn't pass up the sale Midway was having and my APP arrived earlier in the week. This thing is awesome! It will be my dedicated depriming rig, and I also purchased the swaging kit, but that won't get used much. I run a Pro 1000 so I already had the Lee case feeding system. I mounted it...

    Customer Service from Lee

That's great! Nice to see people calling out good service when they receive it.

Frankford Arsenal Perfect Seat Hand Primer

It looks like the new ones have the slot on the side. I have the older one with it on the front. I had one of my shell holders that lost some metal around the rim and allowed the case to rock to that side when trying to prime. I contacted FA and they sent me an entire new unit instead of...

300 Blackout kaboom: squib or double charge?

Upper in question was a BCA 10.5". As far as mixing up powder, I always keep only one on the bench at a time. As far as how many rounds were through the paper, I didn't think to look. I'll keep that in mind if this ever happens again (I hope it doesn't). It definitely wasn't a slam fire. Out...

300 Blackout kaboom: squib or double charge?

I did use magnum primers. H110 is the only powder I've used for 300 B.O. I do visually check for powder before I set a bullet in place, but maybe I screwed up this time. I checked all of the rounds in a Lyman case gage after loading. Maybe I had bullet setback in this round, but I did finish...

300 Blackout kaboom: squib or double charge?

Some of it I purchased online already cut down, processed and annealed, some I cut down from my supply of .223/5.56 and formed myself. In other words, no. That was the first loading by me, but it wasn't new brass. I'm going to pull the rest of those loads and give the brass a really good...

300 Blackout kaboom: squib or double charge?

Was shooting a new load Tuesday in my 300 B.O. AR 15 pistol. Berry's 220 grain spire point over 9.5 grains of H110, COL of 2.20. When I finished my first mag, I noticed that the bolt didn't hold open, but it didn't sound any different. I was at an indoor range and the guy next to me was...
