I watched the whole thing with alot of the members Glocktalk.com, another firearm related forum, and it was rather obvious they took liberal steps in editing.
I could forgive her for carrying in a bar even though she didn't, but buying a Kahr.. well.. I'll think about it.

I'd say go with the Glock 36.
I've also seen lots of reliability problems with the small 1911's. I bought a V10 that'd FTF, FTE alot. Also search about low velocitiy and keyholing issues with the higher grain loads.
The Glock .45's have an octagonal cut barrel, which means no lead.

I always check my Glock by moving my fingers on my shooting hand from the trigger and grip to the top of the slide. I then pull back with my index, middle, ring and pinky fingers while visually inspecting the brass in the chamber or touching it with my pinky.
That why no fingers are anywhere...
I prefer it over the Beretta because I can carry it cocked and locked!!

If I were you I'd look into the PT-99 AF. In my case the adjustable sights and a Bar-Sto drop-in barrel equals a cocked-and-locked Winter CCW tackdriver...
