It truly is sad reading about how some folks dont give a darn who they buy from, or what their money is used for, as long as they get what they want. Personally, if i know a company is using my money for something unethical, immoral, or unconstitutional, ill spend my money elsewhere.

I have to side with the OP. This gunsmith runs a business, and he should NEVER assume that ANY customer knows what is to be done to HIS gun. It is the gunsmiths responsibility, just like any other business, to inform the owner of what the cost and service entails. Whether right or wrong...

Im betting NC law states you must ID yourself when asked, even if not in the form of a DL. The guy shoulda got cited/arrested for not ID'ing himself when asked.
