Click bangs with old 303 Indian stuff is not the exception it’s the norm! The timing can be different but not by much, one interesting thing, As stated click bangs are normal but I have never had a round fail to fire, it may take a second but they all go bang.

I visit the recycler about 2 times a year. All my scrap brass goes with me. Mangled cases. Berdan primed cases, calibers I don’t shoot etc etc intake that money and ......... you guessed it but more gun stuff whatever it might be!
I use LPP cases period. All the SP cases go right into the scrap brass bucket.
My performance criteria? SP cases (before I knew what was going on) totally jammed up the performance of my Dillon 550 press. What a friggin nightmare. No thanks.
SP is a flaming PITA, I load LP 45 ACP only. Sorting through is just an unnecessary task that Federal has graced us with. More often than not I see a Federal headstamp it just goes in my scrap brass bucket.
