I have seen a DM and a couple of Masters DQ in Sanctioned matches in Texas.

If you shoot IDPA long enough you will get DQ'ed sooner or later.

I shot a Ruger SR-1911 for many years, then moved to a Les Baer Concept V. Current IDPA gun is a double stack .45ACP STI frame with Springfield top end. My wife shoots in the optic division with a Springfield 9mm loaded with a Burris FastFire III.

I would shoot your .45ACP in the CDP dividion.

The only brass I use for loading .45ACP is Winchester. Just finished loading up 2,500.

Never had any luck loading the plated Extreme 200 grain wad cutters. Nothing but FTR, sold them to a friend and went back to Bulletworks LSWC 200 grain.

I built my wife's two Springfield Stainless 1911 9mm. She presents me with an empty ammo can and says" More Please". Her go to load is 147 grain plated bullets over 3.2 of Titegroup, they pass chrono at IDPA sanctioned matches.

Wear disposable gloves and a mask. That's what my Doctor has advised me to do, in order to keep my lead levels in the blood. Have my levels check once a year.

What primer are you using? I had problems with some Wolf small pistol primers that required a second hammer strike. Switched back to Winchester problem went away.
